 Sampson
Afriyie is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the GFNY
and AFFCT of Ghana.
Sampson
hails from Aburi in the Eastern Region of Ghana. His father, Nana
Bonsra Kwasi was a traditional ruler in his area and in 1948 he founded
Afriyie Fra Kente Brass Band in Aburi which was the first brass band
in Eastern Region . His mother, Madam Yaa Afaribea was a successful trader.
Sampson
has four siblings.

finish his basic elementary school and continue at Koforidua Technical Institute.
Afriyie
left the country side and proceeded to the port city
of
Tema
where he worked for five years with Star Kist Fishing Company.
Sampson left the
shore
of
Ghana
for
Libya
in 1984. Afriyie worked for years at the catering
services department of Oasis Oil Company, Hallebulton Oil Company
and Corithians Palace hotel. He later proceeded to Italy. In Italy Sampson worked with the Passotti Metal
Company for 4 years as metal mechanics before leaving to the U.S.A where he currently settled.
